Exploration Driven by Curiosity
Developing expedition tools, digital twins, and AI systems that help explorers see further and operate smarter.

This Free Close-Range Photogrammetry Workshop, held in Austin, Texas, provides a maximum of 10 attendees with a hands-on introduction to cutting-edge techniques for capturing high-fidelity 3D models of objects in the field. Participants will learn basic principles of optics and photography as they apply to photogrammetry and digital curation, focusing on using portable cameras with specialized open-source and free software to create detailed “digital twins.”

Tom McGuire is a curiosity-driven creator, fine artist, technologist, and citizen scientist known for reading patterns across complex systems and turning scattered inputs into clear, practical solutions.
He works across art, science, strategy, and technology, bringing field experience and systems thinking to client projects, expedition support, workflow design, and tool development. His work is grounded in service and shaped by kuleana, a responsibility to land, water, lineage, and story rooted in his Kānaka Maoli ancestry.
Between creative work and expedition support, Tom applies emerging technologies to solve practical problems, build useful tools, and help others see connections that might otherwise be missed. His work is guided by curiosity, precision, and a lifelong commitment to thoughtful craftsmanship.
