Recently, Tom and Kiwe, members of the Texas Chapter of the Explorers Club, were given the opportunity to participate in a private tour for the club of this cutting-edge facility.

The drive to Boca Chica was filled with excitement as Tom and Kiwe anticipated their visit to Starbase. Located near the southern tip of Texas, the facility is surrounded by pristine beaches, making for a breathtaking view during their drive. Upon arrival, they were greeted by the friendly staff at Starbase, who provided them with an overview of the facility’s history and mission.

Tom and Kiwe were astounded by the state-of-the-art equipment and facilities at Starbase. They could see the passion and dedication of the staff who are working to make space exploration a reality for everyone.

During their tour, Tom and Kiwe had the opportunity to speak with several of the scientists and engineers at Starbase, who shared with them their passion for space exploration and their commitment to pushing the boundaries of science and technology. They also got to learn about the various research projects underway at the facility.

Among the several highlights, Tom and the members of The Explorers Club Texas chapter were all treated to a very fine box lunch (sounds crazy but it was actually pretty great) and several lectures by Joe Dituri and Sam Patel, the then facilities and operations manager.

Our visit to Starbase was an unforgettable experience and a testament to the incredible advancements being made in the field of space exploration. They left the facility inspired and motivated to continue exploring the world and making new discoveries.
